First Lutheran Launches New Website and Logo
June 17 - July 22
In an effort to update the church branding and strengthen our communications, First Lutheran Church has launched a new website and logo. This work was completed by a volunteer subcommittee of marketing and communications professionals, and a partnership with the local business “Control Yours.”
The website is designed to include more visuals like photos and graphics. There’s also an emphasis on more in-demand information like news and events, Christian education, volunteer opportunities, and more. It’s designed in a clean and modern format with a focus on search engine optimization and mobile-friendly accessibility.
The new logo features the familiar symbol of the cross, which is a replica of the cross hanging in the sanctuary. It also includes symbols of life with modern images of life-like graphics flanking each side of the cross. These symbols represent life as people who make up the church, and life in the sense of plant life as a nod to parables such as the mustard seed and the “vine and branches” verses.
“I am the true vine and my Father is the gardener.” – John 15: 5
The colors of green and gold will be our brand colors as they are both represented within the liturgical color schemes. They are also common to our geographic location. We are surrounded by fields of green and gold and we understand that agriculture greatly impacts life in central Nebraska.
